Protective measures for our daycare facility
We will inform you immediately about any changes at this point.
From January 2021: Adapted rules of hygiene and conduct
From 11 May onwards, the protection concept drawn up for our facilities will be implemented in our daycare centres based on the recommendations of the federal government (BAG).
Please note: the same requirements do not apply to daycare centres in all areas as to public areas and other establishments.
The most important measures of our protection concept are:
Distance Rules
The distance rules cannot be implemented in the day care centre for babies and toddlers. Accordingly, the distance rules do not apply to the children. They should behave and move as normally as possible in the group.
The following rules apply to parents/carers:
- Parents and visitors must wear masks. This also applies when bringing or picking up the children and during parent-teacher meetings.
- A maximum of two parents are allowed in the entrance area. The time spent in the checkroom area should be kept as short as possible.
- Wherever possible, the minimum distance specified by the BAG between employees and parents is maintained.
- The minimum distance between families specified by the BAG is also respected during the handover.
- Closer contacts (e.g. when bringing/pick-up babies and children) are kept as short as possible.
- Bringing and picking up the children takes place outside or in the entrance area.
- Every crowd of people in and in front of the nursery should be avoided.
- We'll skip the handshakes. Instead we give each other a smile.
- The parents do not normally enter the group rooms.
- The children are only brought or picked up by a parent or trusted person.
- There can only be one handover (picking up the children) per group at any one time.
Hygiene Measures
- Children wash their hands thoroughly when entering the day care centre and before handing over/entering the group. We do not use any disinfectant for the children.
- Parents wash or disinfect their hands when entering the nursery.
- Only sneeze or cough in a handkerchief or crook of your arm. Used paper handkerchiefs should be disposed of in a closed container.
- All premises are (under consideration of child safety) at regular intervals and extensively ventilated.
- The toys are cleaned regularly.
- The premises are carefully cleaned daily and disinfected where necessary and possible.
- Door handles, water taps, security doors, etc. are cleaned several times a day with soapy water or disinfectant.
- Employees wash their hands thoroughly before each physical contact with the individual children (e.g. blowing their noses) and in between care.
- The changing mat is disinfected after each use.
- Each child has his or her own marked mug or drinking bottle. These are not shared among themselves.
- At the transition from the outdoor activity to the group, everyone (children and carers) wash their hands thoroughly with soap.
- The preventive wearing of gloves is dispensed with. Gloves will be worn where this has been common practice in the past.
Everyday Care
- In principle, groups of children may be larger than 5 children on the premises and in the garden and work may be carried out across groups.
- The children in our institutions are outdoors every day. They do this either in their own garden or they go for a walk in small groups. In this case, the hygiene measures and the distance rules are also observed.
- Parents' events cannot be held until further notice. This does not apply to individual parent meetings. Parent meetings are conducted primarily by telephone.
- Excursions by public transport are possible again. Peak times are avoided if possible.
